Agree – it’s a midfield/backmarker sort of Livery. It doesn’t have anything specific about it that would make you think “McLaren” OR “Honda” other than it being white and red…

Put it this way, if you gave a group of non-F1 fans a list of teams and pictures of the cars, most would be able to match up Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes because their liveries are synonymous with their teams.

If you showed that livery to most people, would they guess it was a McLaren? It makes me think of the old Toyota which I can’t imagine is something Honda would be too keen on…..

I do like this but it just looks like the old Midland F1 scheme to me, and I think a “new era” McLaren Honda deserves something a bit more special.

I think this looks pretty good, certainly more interesting than recent years, but where’s the orange!?

I do hope that that’s what their nose looks like though, much better than the phallic noses of late.

I certainly hope they make a nice one, last few years not one livery was ‘one to remember’. Williams missed a huge opportunity to make a killer livery last year. the best livery is one you can repreduce on a napkin in 10 seconds, most F1 teams forgot that simpel is often remembered as good (jordan 191, mostly just green, JPS lotus, black with a gold lining, but not what renaut did last few years). Let’s see.
